My fiancé has always been Conservative, but I voted Democrat all the way up through Obama’s 2nd term (regretfully). I was always told that Democrats were the party of tolerance & acceptance. I was told that Republicans hated gays, were racist & had nothing but hate in their hearts. Now, I realize that it is quite the opposite.
🇺🇸 I witnessed Democrats project nothing but utter lies, fear mongering & a false oppression to gain the gay vote - even creating the narrative that Trump would strip away gay rights & send us all to conversion camps if he was elected. 🙄 I saw right through their lies. I feel like minorities, including gays, blacks & hispanics, have been used as pawns by the Democratic party for far too long.
🇺🇸 I witnessed the mainstream media misrepresent then-candidate Trump over & over. They would take a 5 second clip out of a 2 hour speech & twist it to fit their narrative to call him racist, homophobic & xenophobic. I began doing my own research & listening to Trump’s speeches, interviews & press conferences in their entirety. It’s quite amazing what you can learn when you research & begin thinking for yourself.
🇺🇸 I witnessed the Left’s violent & hateful rhetoric, including my own LGBT Facebook friends (most of which deleted & blocked me), which made me realize that Democrats had been lying to me my entire life & were in fact the least tolerant people I had ever met. I have been accepted by an overwhelming number of Republicans in the past 2 years for expressing my own beliefs, than I have been by Democrats ever. While some of you may not agree with my bedroom practices, I completely respect that. As, I respect you. I’m not defined by my sexual orientation. There’s much more to my character & values than that. I’m one of the least judgmental people you’ll ever meet. I reject racism of any kind. I reject the marginalization of anyone based off their gender or sexual orientation. I reject a system that allows the suppression of free speech & the creation of false narratives to cover up the truth. I reject hate.
